Developed in official collaboration with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, Champions tells the story of the season that finally ended 89 years of waiting and brought the club its first Swiss championship title. Through players, coaches, staff, supporters and club legends, the series turns an extraordinary sporting victory into the story of an entire community.
The edge
Hundreds of hours of exclusive footage take the audience inside the dressing room, strategic meetings, video sessions, treatments, travel and the most private moments of the season. Combined with nearly nine decades of archives and a multi-generational supporter perspective, the series captures not only how a title was won, but what it meant to everyone who had inherited the wait.
Diffusion
Conceived as a five-part premium series for television, international streaming platforms and co-production partners. French, German and English versions are planned, with release targeted for spring 2027.
