Synopsis
When the structure supporting their mountain-bike careers disappeared, brothers Nicolas and Julien Bard chose to build their own. Le rêve d’une équipe follows the rise of ARSA Racing Team through tight budgets, sponsor searches, daily work and relentless training, as Julien pursues selection for the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships in Crans-Montana.
The edge
The film treats the team as both a sporting and entrepreneurial adventure. Personal footage and close observational access reveal what results tables leave out: late-night training after work, the pressure of finding funding, the responsibility of supporting other riders and the uncertainty of investing everything in a dream with no guaranteed outcome.
Diffusion
Released in June 2026, the documentary was presented through regional media and broadcast by La Télé, supported by partner screenings and communication around ARSA Racing Team. The project’s original distribution plan also included cinema events, festivals, company screenings and an online partner release.
