The Resilience Run

What happens when the body is still performing, but the mind can no longer keep up?

Watch
Coralie Ambrosini began athletics at the age of six and grew into a high-level sprinter. Behind that progression, she was struggling with an eating disorder, depression and the consequences of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport. In this intimate portrait, Coralie recounts the difficult path to diagnosis, the role of therapy and her environment, and how sport eventually became part of her recovery.
The Resilience Run gives a face and a voice to an issue that often remains invisible in elite sport. Coralie speaks without filter about performance pressure, silence and the moment her relationship with sport became destructive. The film replaces spectacle with honesty, using one personal story to open a broader conversation about REDs, mental health and healthier definitions of success.

Released by Swiss Olympic as the centrepiece of its “Women and Elite Sport” campaign, the film was distributed online and supported by podcasts, expert resources and additional awareness content. The wider campaign was designed to help athletes, coaches, families and sports organisations recognise REDs and speak more openly about mental health.
